As bicycling becomes more and more synonymous with Bluffton, here’s another connection talking up biking in our community.
The Allen County Bike and Pedestrian Pathway Guide, a full-color promotional piece, features Bluffton on one of its panels.
Bluffton’s feature panel includes a map of the village with bike paths, shared use paths and unpaved paths marked.
A brief description of the village states that Bluffton has over 9 miles of paved pathways, crushed aggregate, mulched and natural trails, plus several additional features.
Traffic movements onto and across state Route 309 from Napoleon Road near Allen East School will be restricted beginning Friday, March 10.
From 7:30-8:30 a.m., and from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on school days, traffic will be prohibited from turning left from Napoleon Road onto state Route 309, and from crossing state Route 309 from Napoleon Road. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will have signs denoting the change in place by noon on March 10.
The Columbus Grove High School choral department will present its 50th annual musical Friday and Saturday, March 16-17, according to Carla Wyant, director.
“Mary Poppins” will be given in the high school auditorium at 7 p.m. both evenings.
Tickets are now on sale and may be purchased in the Columbus Grove High School Office. Tickets are $10 for reserved seating, $6 for adult general seating and $4 for student general seating.
Senior artists and graphic designers will showcase their most prominent work from their four years at Bluffton in their exhibit titled “Viewer Discretion Advised.” The artists will be available to discuss their work during a reception from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, in the Sauder Visual Arts Center. The public is invited to the exhibit and the reception. Both are free of charge.
Registrations are now underway for the Friends of the Bluffton Public Library Saturday, June 10, 5-K Run/Walk for Literacy. This is the fourth annual event.

The run/walk starts at 9 a.m. on College Avenue in front of Bluffton High School.
A demonstration from Software Solutions, Inc. (SSI) will be made to village officials at 6 p.m., Monday, March 20, in the town hall.
SSI is the village's software provider and is upgraging the village utility billing system. The village has already upgraded its payroll and financial mangement system.
The village plans to update its system over time with the next two areas focusing on income tax and utlities.
