Free classes open to the public on a variety of subjects

Active and healthy minds.

That’s the focus of classes offered soon by the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, 132 N. Main St., according to Tonya Meyer, director.

The classes will take place Mondays at 9:30 a.m.

According to Meyer the classes hope to fill a little of the gap left by the absence of ILR classes at Bluffton University.

She added that many ILR participants are also members of the Bluffton Senior Center, so the center decided to launch the project.

Students introduced to career possibilities

Bluffton High School sophomores will be among nearly 750 sophomores in Apollo Career Center’s 11-member district visiting Apollo during 411Blast, Friday, Jan. 27.

Bluffton sophomores will visit Apollo during two sessions: 9 to 9:58 a.m. and 10:02 to 11 a.m. Students will eat lunch at Apollor from noon to 12:35 p.m.
 
This day exposes students to career possibilities and paths that available to inhance their career or college success.

The Bluffton elementary school's (fourth and fifth grade) honor roll for the second 2016-17 grading period was released today.

Local students named to Bluffton’s dean’s list

Bluffton University has announced its dean’s list for the fall term. Students with a GPA of 3.6 or higher are eligible for the dean’s list. 

Undergraduates are:
Melissa Graham, Bluffton
Briar Pina Shisler, Bluffton
Amy Warren, Jenera
Olivia Whitaker, Bluffton

Students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 based on 20 semester hours received dean’s list with distinction for continued high achievement.
