4 council, 3 school board, 2 township trustees

Several seats will be on the November 2017 ballot in Bluffton village, Richland Township and school board races. The general election is  Nov. 7.

According to the Allen County Board of Elections, the following seats will be on the ballot this year.

What this town needs is a couple young locksmiths. Here are two key and lock students discussing a possible business launch. When they are not in the locksmith business, they are students at Bluffton Community Preschool.

Perfect example - the birthday cake mix story posted below

A Bluffton Community Assistance (CAP) food pantry volunteer assisted a client whose young child was having a birthday.

The client couldn’t afford a birthday cake. When the mother came to the food pantry and discovered boxed cakes supplies and frosting, there were tears in her eyes.

Bluffton middle school and high school students, who brought donations from Christmas food drives, learned about this story.

As Ed Yeager, CAP board president, shares: “Following that, ‘whooom’ - bunches of baking supplies and cake mixes came pouring in.”

The Master Gardeners Volunteers of Allen, Hardin and Hancock counties will
offer the Master Gardener Volunteer training program at the OSU-Lima
Campus this spring.

This program provides 50 hours of intensive training in horticulture to interested gardeners who then commit to 50 hours of volunteer service in their home county  assisting with Master Gardener Volunteer sponsored educational programs and activities for residents. Volunteer opportunities and projects vary by county.

Bluffton could be part of a Cincinnati-Toledo route

This is the second in a two-part series on a proposed national and statewide bicycle route network that could pass through Bluffton’s Main Street.
