NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Manchester University men's soccer team scored twice in the first half and made it hold up as the Spartans took down Bluffton University 2-0 on a cool and overcast Wednesday, Oct. 26. Bluffton fell to 3-14 overall and 0-8 in the Heartland Conference, while Manchester improved to 8-6-3 on the season and 2-5-1 in the HCAC.

Fall craft Fridays, family storytime, open mic...just to name a few

Holiday gift silent auction, dulcimers, book signings, book discussions, yoga, art class, mock election...all on the November calendar of the Bluffton Public Library. Here's the schedule of events.

The Holiday Gift Silent Auction is Nov. 1through Nov. 23  With over 40 different packages to offer, this is a place to check some gifts off of your holiday list and benefit your library (and your community).

Self-sustaining organization has 72 students

Due to expanded needs of Bluffton Community Preschool and its host, First United Methodist Church, the preschool is searching for a new home, according to Christine Clymer, board president.

“Our enrollment is up and the church is expanding and needs additional space,” she said.  “We are looking for a new home by early spring. We are interested in talking with any Bluffton building owners with available space interested in housing us.”

Eat in or carry-out

First United Methodist Church, corner Church and Jackson, will hold an election day lunch and dinner Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Lunch is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Dinner is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Lunch menu includes: homemade soups, sandwiches, salads, dessert and beverages. Lunch items are priced separately.

Dinner includes baked steak, mashed potatoes, vegetable, roll, dessert and beverage. Dinner is $8 for adults, $4 for youth ages 5-10.

Carry-out is available for both meals.

A portion of the proceeds benefit the Bluffton food pantry.
