Two community meals take place in June at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, 132 N. Main St. Those meals are Thursday, June 2, provided by English Lutheran Church, and Thursday, June 16, provided by First Mennonite Church.
Community meals are free and open to the public and are coordinated by the Bluffton Area Ministerial Association. Persons attending may contribute canned food items for the Bluffton food pantry.
Contracts for 2016-17 school year are a major item on the Thursday, May 26, Apollo Career Center school board agenda.
One of those items to be considered is the hiring of Karen Falk, Family and Consumer Science instructor for the 2016-17 school year, on the Bluffton salary schedule and fringe benefits following the Bluffton school calendar.

A Bluffton Pirates boys' youth basketball camp is scheduled for Tuesday, May 31, through Friday, June 3, according to Todd Boblitt, BHS varsity boys' coach.
The camp for first, second, third and fourth graders takes place from 10 a.m. to noon. The camp for fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth graders is from 1 to 3 p.m.
The cost per camper is $30. Early registration is encouraged. Make checks payable to Pirate Basketball Camp and send to Todd Boblitt, 404 S. Main St., Bluffton.
Three area students were named to the Ohio Northern University spring dean’s list. They are: Molly Moser, daughter of Bruce and Cindy Moser, 6485 Grismore Rd, Columbus Grove. She is a junior majoring in accounting. Elita Smith, daughter of Jeffrey and Melinda Smith, 517 Clint Drive, Ada. She is a senior majoring in management. Stephen Tatarkov, son of Svetlana Tatarkov, 10970 Phillips Road, Bluffton. He is a senior majoring in mechanical engineering.
The deans’ list includes students who attain a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 grading system.
