• 5-pound Preen weed preventer, $9.99

Bluffton fifth grader, Olivia Matthews, takes a spoonful of her favorite ice cream selection at Bluffton Dari Freeze. She says chocolate ice cream in a cup with sprinkles is tough to beat. We agree.

Kevin Haver, director of the Appleseed Metropolitan Park District, is the Friday, April 8, Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast guest speaker. The breakfast is in the Bluffton town hall.
 
Haver will update chamber members on the park district and will provide an update specifically on the Motter Metro Park, which is located along Riley Creek in Bluffton.
 
Realliving CCR Realty is the breakfast sponsor. Devine Intervention will provide the breakfast.
 
Several additional items are on Friday’s agenda, including:

The 2016 Bluffton Farmers’ Market season is one month away.
 
The Bluffton Farmers’ Market invites interested vendors to an information meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, in the third floor of the Bluffton town hall, according to Greg Probst, market manager.
 
The market’s opening date is Saturday, May 7, in the Citizens National Bank parking lot on South Main Street, Bluffton. This is the market’s 12th season.
The market will be open each Saturday from May 7 through the last Saturday of October. Market hours are 8:30 a.m. to noon.
 

The annual spring tea of the Bluffton Public Library will be April
28, beginning at 5:45 p.m. Tickets cost $12 and are available at the library. The
speaker will be past Bluffton University football coach and author Carlin
Carpenter. A light supper is included.
