Bluffton High School boys’ stopped Arlington 53-31 to win the McDonald’s Holiday Tournament title on Dec. 29. Bret Rumer of the Pirates was named the tourney most valuable player.
 
In the consolation game Allen East got by Cory-Rawson 61-52.

Farewell, 2015.

How will you remember 2015? It was certainly a year to remember. The Icon took hundreds of photos in the past 365 or so days.

Happy New Year!

Christina E. Detwiler, 90, died Dec. 25, 2015, at Willow Ridge in Bluffton.

Christina was born on April 6, 1925, in Columbiana County, Ohio,  a daughter of Lester W. and Mary (Ziegler) Detwiler. She previously resided at Parkside Health Care Center in Columbiana. She attended  First Mennonite Church in Bluffton, and also Marimor MRDD Seniors in Lima.  

Christina is survived by a sister Joyce (Donald) Hostetler of Bluffton, and a brother Willard (Patricia) Detwiler of Prescott, Ariz., and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
