You get one guess on what Christmas carol Bluffton elementary students perform during the elementary Christmas concert. Hint..."down comes good old Santa Claus." Answer: "Up on the Housetop." Watch the Icon for more concert photos later this week.

How long will the line be?

Who cares? It will be a night to remember for Bluffton Star War fans on Thursday.

A one-minute after midnight (technically Friday AM) “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” has a premier showing at the Shannon Theatre.

The line-up for tickets starts Thursday night, Dec. 17.

According to Pete Suter of Shannon Theatre tickets will go on sale one hour prior to the show – 11 p.m. to be exact – and seating will start at 11:15 p.m. And 275 lucky fans will watch the show.

It took 10 rounds and finally came down to “hypnotic,” “obscure,” and “nationalism,” for Nicole Boyle, Bluffton sixth grader, to win this year’s middle school spelling bee.

The bee, held on Dec. 11, included 12 contestants from grades six, seven and eight. Another sixth grader, Caleb McKenzie, was runner-up.

A tire Christmas tree may be a first for Bluffton. You can find this one at Tommy Tires, on North Main Street.

The Beavers improved to 7-0 on the season with a 3-0 mark in HCAC play. It marks the second time in three weeks that a Bluffton woman has been named Player of the Week following sophomore Macey Sheerer's (Bucyrus) selection two weeks ago.
