It was a perfect fall day. This year's Bluffton Fall Festival attracted hundreds of visitors and local residents to Bluffton for a day of family-oriented activities.

Events took place on Main Street, at the middle school, Mennonite Memorial Home, Maple Crest Senior Living Village, Swiss Community Historical Homestead and Suter's corn maze.
A Swiss chorus sang German and English songs during Saturday's Fall Festival. The chorus performed on the second floor balcony at the Schumacher Homestead on Bixel Road.
Marjorie M. Diller, 82, of Bluffton died at 3:34 am Sept. 29, 2012, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born April 22, 1930, in Bluffton to Omer and Wilma Neuenschwander Gratz. On July 5, 1949, she married Roger Diller and he preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 2010.
Mrs. Diller retired from First National Bank, Pandora. She was a member of St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora. She was a graduate of Poplar Bluff High School, Poplar Bluff, Mo., and attended Bluffton College and Northwest Business College.
Saturday is a quilt-lover's dream. A quilt show at the Bluffton Middle School will feature local and historical quilts, demonstrations with a full-color program guide. The middle school is a new location for the quilt show this year. The event is part of the Bluffton Fall Festival. Check the story below for all details.
Bluffton University will honor three alumni and a former faculty and staff member at its annual alumni awards banquet on Homecoming weekend. The Commons, in Marbeck Center, will be the site at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12.
The late Jean (Hoover ’47) Triplett is this year’s recipient of the Lifetime Service Award, presented to alumni who have dedicated their lives to heartfelt service to people, community or church.
St. John’s United Church of Christ's beef and noodle dinner, a Bluffton tradition, is back and slated for Friday, Oct. 19. Come and get a good home-cooked meal before the Bluffton High School homecoming football game.
The dinner will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 pm in St. John’s Oppermann Hall, which can be accessed from College Avenue. (223 West College Ave.)
The dinner includes homegrown beef, homemade noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, roll, homemade pie and beverages.
