Bluffton Public Library and Clymer's Wildlife Museum in Columbus Grove are teaming up to offer a special event on Tuesday, June 26, at 7 p.m. The "Night @ the Museum: Big Game Hunt" event is open to adults and children ages 12 or older.
Guests will hear exciting firsthand accounts of adventurous big game hunts around the world and have a guided tour of this unique museum filled with bears, a giraffe, lions and other wild game.
Free admission tickets are available at Bluffton Public Library, 145 S. Main St., Bluffton.
Tickets are now on sale at BFR for a day trip package to a Toledo Mudhens Game on Sunday, July 29. The trip includes air-conditioned transportation provided by Buckeye Charter, ticket to the game, and all activities planned at the ball park. The bus will leave the BFR parking lot at 3:30 p.m. and return around 11 p.m.
Here's a view of South Jackson Street with Grove Street in the center of the photo.
A close examination reveals the old St. Mary's Catholic Church building, a very narrow Jackson Street, no addition to St. John's UCC, several "small structures" at the rear of many residences (are these outhouses?).
"The Bernese Four" from Berne, Ind., will perform during this year's Bluffton Swiss Day program on Sunday, June 24.
A potluck, at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, 8905 Grove Road, at 12:30-3 p.m., features a musical program by Wilmer Sprunger and friends of Berne Ind., with an opening by the Bluffton-Pandora Swiss Chorus.
Bring a dish, already hot or cold and ready to serve, and your own table service (plates and silverware). Drinks will be provided.
The Bluffton Community Swimming Pool is the place to cool off on a hot summer day in Bluffton. The mushroom in the center is great place to stay under for long periods of a hot afternoon.
