David Glick and Scott Gleason both correctly picked 9 games and both picked the same tie-breakers (Bluffton by 8 or more and C-R by 1-7) in the first week's Bluffton Icon high school football contest.

Bluffton runners toed the starting line Saturday and prepared to race for the second time this year. The meet, called the Blue Jay Invitational, was in Delphos.

The Bluffton Cross Country team has been training all summer and the time has finally come to bring it all together.

Although their season officially kicked off at the Upper Sandusky Icebreaker Invitational on Tuesday, it wasn't the first time the Pirates competed this year.

Evelyn (Michel) Sutter

Evelyn (Michel) Sutter will celebrate her 90th birthday Sept. 5. Evelyn was born to the late Clinton and Leah (Peterson) Balmer in Allen County.

She married Clair Michel June 28, 1941 and he died Aug. 1, 1984. She then married Bud Sutter who died in 2000.

Evelyn has two children, Ron (Pat) Michel, Pandora and Karen (Paul) Businger, Bluffton. She has 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
