With the summer season in full swing, it is not too soon to begin school preparation for children. In the past the Allen County Health Department has offered weekly walk-in clinics for immunizations.
Immunizations are now given by appointment only. The Nursing Division of the Allen County Health Department remind parents and guardians of children who need immunizations for the upcoming school year to schedule their child an appointment early this summer season.
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera, will hold a Vacation Bible School for children from pre-school through grade 6 on Sunday through Thursday, June 26-30 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the school at 105 Allen Street.
Using the theme "Space Station Salvation," each day will have religious activities, music and songs, crafts and a snack.

Nancy K. Stewart, 69 of Bluffton died at 4:22 a.m. June 18, 2011 at Triumph Hospital, Lima. She was born June 11, 1942, in to Clifford and Dorothy Garmatter Houts. Her mother survives in Bluffton. On June 22, 1963 she married Richard Stewart and he survives.
Nancy was a homemaker and was also a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bluffton and a graduate of Bluffton High School.
