As noted at the June 26 Bluffton Council meeting, the 2022 Drinking Water Consumer Confidence Report is now available.

The report can be found at www.bluffton-ohio.com/water/ or at the Town Hall, 154 N. Main St. In summary: The water supplied by the Village of Bluffton in 2022 was compliant with EPA regulations.

A copy of this report will be mailed out to all water customers on June 26 to meet federal notification requirements. A website link will be shared on the water bills due July 25 to Village water customers.

The yard course is more reminiscent of the British Open than Augusta

ADA–Having been a lifelong athlete and gamesman, I was looking for something constructive and fun to do this summer to help fill some of my sports void.

The regular basketball game at ONU that I organized and played in for years came to a screeching halt during the pandemic and has yet to be resuscitated despite my so-far fruitless efforts to start it back up.

I decided to put an idea that had been gestating for over a year in my head into action and create something the area lacks, something which used to be a fixture in many towns. An activity to add to my backyard basketball hoop and croquet set-up that would sharpen concentration skills.

Armed with a small spade, my imagination and determination to make up something fun and challenging, I created my own backyard miniature golf course this past month.

I was only going to make 18 holes, but I am up to 22 and counting, although I am starting to run out of good real estate spots despite the fun of creating them. I might get to 27 holes, but not 36.

The idiom known as “the same, but different” is a saying commonly used in Southeast Asian countries and especially in Thai culture. The meaning indicates there is a fundamental difference, but with the slightest similarity.

Generic drug medications are actually the opposite of this idiom, being fundamentally similar with some slight differences. These differences could be in the inactive ingredients or the color or shape of the pills, which do not alter the therapeutic effect of the drug. Generic drugs are considered small molecule entities, but new biosimilar drugs entering the market are very large molecules in comparison.

The United States is full of competition and this is something that does not stop with drug manufacturers. When the first large molecule drugs were approved by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), drug companies wanted to duplicate this process similar to a generic drug.
