Banjo and guitar player and singer Matt Brown will perform in concert at 7 p.m., Friday, April 1, in the third floor of the Bluffton town hall in the Town Hall Concert Series, according to Wendy Chappell-Dick, of the village cultural affairs committee.

Opening for Brown are the Bluffton High School Fiddlers, an after- school club.

The performance is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted.

Jesse Henry and the Royal Tycoons will perform in the back room at Tu Pueblo Mexican Restaurant, 142 N. Main St., at 8 p.m., Saturday, April 2.

The largely original compositions are a stylistic mixture of blues, jazz, jug band, and folk performed with vibraphone, guitars, saxophone, harmonica, drums and more.

This group debuted at the 2009 Columbus Community Festival (ComFest) where they generated crowd enthusiasm the stage manager claimed to have never seen in the 20 years she had been managing the stage.

The Senior High Youth of First Mennonite Church will hold a noon fundraiser following worship service on Sunday, April 3. The menu includes haystacks and a dessert buffet.

Funds raised will go toward the youth trip to the Mennonite Youth Convention in Pittsburgh, Pa., this summer, and to the youths' tithing project.

This year the SHY are giving 15 percent of funds raised to two organizations. Those include World Vision's adopt a child and the Pittsburgh Mennonite Convention Scholarship Fund.
