Obesity is a significant public health challenge in the United States, with more than 40% of adults affected, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Bluffton High School Varsity Football plays at home vs. Huron in second round OHSAA Regional Playoffs. Presale tickets are available at www.ohsaa.org/tickets, $11 Adults and $5 Students. Tickets are available at the gate, cash only.

The Bluffton Icon will be temporarily offline for approximately two hours on Saturday, November 9, when it will transition to a new, streamlined format. On November 10-11 the Icon will take a Veterans Day holiday with exception of breaking news.

11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 9, Beaverdam Cemetery

The Beaverdam Veterans Committee and Beaverdam Village Council are hosting a memorial dedication on November 9 honoring veterans buried in the Beaverdam Cemetery, located south of Main St. across from the Church St. intersection.

Ceremonies will include local officials, a performance by Four Gals and a Guy vocal ensemble, Eli Lehman paying Taps and the American Legion Post 382 rifle squadron and color guard. Presentations will provide information about local honor flights to Washington D.C. and the history of Beaverdam Cemetery.
