St. Rita’s receives initial accreditation

Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center has received initial accreditation for the newly developed Internal Medicine Residency Program. 

The program is a three-year program and is approved for a total of 36 accredited resident positions. Medical student candidates will be able to apply in the fall 2019 via ERAS (interview process) and we will participate in the 2020 NRMP (match). The first class of 12 Internal Medicine residents will start on July 1, 2020.

Ruth Everett of Ruth Everett's Healing Touches, Bluffton, will present a program on self-healing techniques to lift your energy, tap into your emotions and change your life.

The presentation is at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 21, at One River Collective, 2366 Shawnee Road, Lima. The program is free and open to the public.

 

For flag football, U6 soccer, 3-4th grade volleyball

The deadline is approaching to register for several youth programs Bluffton Family Recreation, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

Sign-up deadline for flag football, U6 soccer, and 3rd and 4th grade volleyball leagues is Sunday, March 17. After that registrations will be accepted with a $10 late fee and it cannot be guaranteed that t-shirts/jerseys will be available at the same time as the others.
