The Beaverdam Bunch 4-H club held it's election of the 2022 year on March 28. Gavin Kruse will serve as president of The Beverdam Bunch 4-H Club for the 2022 year.
The other new officers for this year are Vice-President Braeden Ackerman, Secretary Carly Hannum, Treasurer Addie Businger, News Reporter Matthew Piehl, Health Officer Will Steiner, Safety Officer Payton Camper, and Recreation Leaders Gabe Foster and Jonathan McKanna.
The Bluffton University softball team kicked off Heartland Conference play with a pair of exciting walkoff wins over Rose-Hulman on a chilly Saturday, April 2, 2022. Bluffton improved to 8-10 overall and 2-0 in the Heartland Conference, while RHIT slipped to 11-5 and 0-2 in the HCAC.
Bluffton erased a 3-0 Rose lead in the bottom of the third when Madison Jones (West Milton/Milton Union) and Bobbi Adams (Delaware/Rutherford B. Hayes) hit back-to-back dingers. The shot by Adams was still climbing when it cleared the scoreboard in left field!

The Beavers baseball team made their way to Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis, Ind., on Saturday, April 2, to square off in a doubleheader with Franklin College to open Heartland Conference play. Bluffton fell to 6-11 overall and 0-2 in the HCAC, while Franklin upped its mark to 17-5 and 2-0 in the conference.

Roscoe Evans, who helped construct and then for 23 years was in charge of maintenance on the world’s largest pipe organ, located in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Maintenance man and caretaker of the world’s largest organ, which requires a building 10 stories high to house its 33,056 pipes is the job of Roscoe Evans, formerly of Bluffton, who was here visiting old friends during the past week.
The former Bluffton man an expert on organ construction has been responsible for the care and tuning of the great organ in the Atlantic City Convention hall since it was completed four years ago.
