Ted Kohli 1930-2010
Bluffton native Theodore R. "Do Do" Kohli,79, died at 11:28 a.m., Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at his residence on North Jackson Street.
He was born April 6, 1930, to Maurice R. and Genevieve Austin Kohli, Sr. On July 22, 1950, he married Shirley J. Weyer and she died June 12, 1989.
Mr. Kohli retired from the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union 776. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Bluffton, and the Eagles Aerie 370, Lima, He graduated from Bluffton High School in 1948.
Surviving are three daughters: Linda (Lenny) Kinn, Bluffton, Brenda (Keith) Anderson, Bluffton, and Mary (Jeff) Whitehurst, Ottawa. Grandchildren surviving include Michael (Michelle) Lanham, Jason (Cindy) Whitehurst, Jason (Cindy) Lamb, Candie Whitehurst, Michael (Jenny) Kaple, Audrey (Doug) LeMaster, great-granddaughter Kayli Lamb, and great-grandsons Blake, Dougie and Collin Lemaster.
A brother, Jerry Lee (Yvonne) Kohli, survives in Sun City, Ariz.
He was preceeded in death by two grandsons, Jeremie Kaple and Brian Lamb and a brother, Maurice Kohli, Jr.
A funeral service is at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 21, at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. Chaplain William Herr will officiate.
Visitation is Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman, Bluffton. Burial will be in Maple Grove, Bluffton. Memorials may go to First United Methodist Church, Bluffton, or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
