Hankish scholarship now available for BHS seniors
A new scholarship is now available to a Bluffton High School senior who intends to major in education, according to Greg Denecker, Bluffton school superintendent.
"This scholarship was made possible due to Theda D. Hankish, who died on Sept. 16, 2008. This award is set up in honor of her parents Charles Hankish Sr. and Sophia Hankish," he said.
Each academic year a scholarship committee will award a $1,000 scholarship to one Bluffton High School senior who is entering the field of education to become a teacher.
Applications for this award will be available at the beginning of February in the High School Guidance Office. The deadline for applying is the first Monday in April.
