Cultural auction night to benefit Haiti
The Ohio Northern University Asian American Student Union (AASU), in cooperation with the Muslim and Indian Student Associations, will hold its first Cultural Auction Night to benefit the earthquake relief efforts in Haiti on Feb. 10 in the McIntosh activities room from 6-9 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public.
Auction items, which include foreign language learning CDs, textbooks, and storybooks, a rubber band gun, a giant decorative fan, Asian tea sets, a chopsticks set, a Chinese harmonica, and more, will be on display the week of Feb. 1 outside the McIntosh cafeteria.
Raffle tickets will also be on sale for the price of $1 or donation of a canned food item. Available prizes include T-shirts and gift cards to local restaurants.
New China will provide free food on auction night.
