Ticket sales end on Thursday, March 11, for The Centre's murder mystery dinner "Poison Ivy," according to Brenda Gaines of The Centre. The event is Saturday, March 13, at The Centre, 601 N. Main St.
Doors open at 6 p.m., hors d'oeuvres are served at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. A cash bar is available. No tickets are sold at the door.
The menu includes baked steak, home-style beans, buttered corn, chicken victoria, new red potatotes, bread and butter, stuffed shells with marinara, dessert and non-alcoholic drinks.
The evening includes a dinner and theatrical production by "mr. E murders" of New Philadelphia. The theatre story is set in 1957 and its theme is a B-movie sci-fi story featuring Ivy Weiss, botanist, who accidentially discovers the fountain of youth.
Beset with desperate benefactress, jealous colleagues, and a Soviet spy, Weiss must prevail for the good of the country! Of course, murder will occur and the dinner guest/detectives will be involved in identifying the culprit or culprits.
Persons may use Visa, Discovery or Mastercard to purchase tickets. Tickets may be purchased by calling The Centre at 419-358-8533.
Tickets prices are $38 each, two for $72 and a table of eight for $280.
