Edgar Eugene Wenger 1932-2010
Edgar Eugene Wenger, 77, of Bluffton, died at 2:48 p.m., April 7, 2010, in Bluffton Hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1932, to Oscar and Frances "Fannie" Flythe Wenger. On June 28, 1958 he married Rita Quillin and she survives.
Mr. Wenger was a skilled tradesman in machine repair. He retired from Dana Corp., Lima. He was a member of Local UAW 1765. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and had been a past member of the Bluffton Fire Department. He was a 1950 Bluffton High School graduate.
In addition to his wife, survivors include sons, Chris (Rhonda) Wenger, Eddie (Lisa) Wenger, and Tim (Angie) Wenger, all of Bluffton. Also suriviving are eight grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy Steiner, Bluffton.
An infant daughter, Anne Marie Wenger, preceeded him in death.
A funeral service is at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 12, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton. Rev. John Stites will officiate.
Visitation is Sunday from 2-7 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. Burial is in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Contributions may go to the American Hearth Association or the American Diabetes Association.
