3 superiors, 5 excellents at state science fair
Eight Bluffton Middle School students participated in the State Science Fair on May 8, according to Dave Bracy, science teacher.
"The students did a great job with three students receiving a superior rating and five students received an excellent rating," said Bracy.
Receiving superior:
o Audrey Marshall - Are other blade factors critical for windmills?
o Courtney Barnett - Which reaction time is faster, sight or sound?
o Andrew Hoff - How will certain trajectory points on a soccer ball affect the accuracy of a penalty shot?
Receiving excellent:
o Jonah Bourassa - Do football gloves help a receiver catch the ball?
o Josh Bracy - Will a dimpled surface affect the aerodynamic features of an object and create less drag?
o Landon Cluts - If you double the size of a trebuchet will it throw twice as far?
o Celeste Stauber - What fabric collects the least amount of pet fur?
o Jill Steinmetz - Will a teenager's lung capacity improve from performing training for one month?
