A "Rally in the Alley," (actually on the Cherry Street side of Common Grounds) is planned from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, June 18, featuring the band "xpendable," according to Phil Zimmerly of Common Grounds.

The event benefits Drugs Bring Death, an organization in Lima, that the Common Grounds has supported in the past.

"Come have fun at our free family-friendly event," said Zimmerly. "We will also have food and a lot of music."

"xpendable' is the champion of the Pennsylvania Battle fo the Bands and YesFM Battle of the Bands.

Drugs Bring Death's mission to rid its community of the use, sale and distribution of illegal drugs. Its programs provide awareness through education and drug prevention programs.
