Thelma Joyce Sharrock, 1924-2010
Thelma Joyce Sharrock, 85, of Bluffton and formerly Ada, died at 10:35 p.m., Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
She was born July 27, 1924, to Raymond and Gayle (Geese) Richmond, in Orange, Ohio. On Aug. 7, 1943, she married Robert E. Sharrock. He died Sept. 7, 1988.
Mrs. Sharrock moved to Ada in 1971 where she owned and operated a craft shop "The Something Special Shop," in her home. She was a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church and was a 50-year member of Eastern Star.
Among survivors are a daughter, Cassandra (Gary) Hull, Ada, and son Mark (Diane) Sharrock, Ada, grandsons Joey (Jason) Campbell and Travis (Samantha) Hull; granddaughters Crystal (Brett) Badertscher, Alison(Charles) Mosler, Jennifer (Joseph) Navarro, Bethany Sharrock and Rachel Sharrock. There are five great-grandchildren and one sister, Marjorie Dreher, West Lafayette, Ohio.
Funeral services arr at 3 p.m., Monday, June 14, at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Rev. Dick Potter and Rev. Charles Warren, officiating.
Visitation is Monday from 1-3 p.m., at the church. Interment is Tuesday at 11 a.m., at Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette, Ohio. Contributions may be made to Ebenezer Mennonite Church.
