Find the cup, win McDonald's Smoothies for a year
Jerry Lewis' McDonald's are giving area customers a new experience with the introduction of McCaf'e Real Fruit Smoothies, the latest addition to the McCaf'e menu.
McCaf'e Real Fruit Smoothies offer a blend of real fruit, fruit juice, and low-fat yogurt, blended with ice.
McCaf'e Real Fruit Smoothies, available in strawberry banana and wild berry flavors, are made with a blend of real fruit - combinations of strawberries and bananas or blueberries, strawberries and blackberries - fruit juice, low-fat yogurt and blended with ice.
Jerry Lewis McDonald's Restaurants are holding a search for three-foot tall replica Smoothie cups that will take place throughout Blufton, Lima, Delphos, Van Wert, Ada, Ottawa and Hicksville on Friday, July 30.
These enormous props will be placed in random areas that come bearing a message, which reads, "Seriously, take me ...to a nearby McDonald's location."
Once the cup is returned to the restaurant, the finder will receive a year's worth of free McDonald's McCaf'e Real Fruit Smoothies.
For every three-foot replica Smoothie cup returned to one of Jerry Lewis's McDonald's Restaurants $500 will be added to the McDonald's MAC Grant program, which awards grants of up $400 to local teachers.
That means if all 15 area cups are return to McDonald's, an additional $7,500 will be added to the MAC Grant fund, which will provide 18 more teachers with MAC Grants for the upcoming school year.
The possible $7,500 is in addition to the funds already set aside to be given to local teachers as a part of the 2010 MAC Grant program. Since 2004, the Mac Grant program has awarded more than $94,000 to more than 260 local teachers.
"The Smoothie Cup Hunt is a way for customers to get excited about McDonald's new McCafe Real Fruit Smoothies. Not only can customers win a free smoothie a week for a year but teachers win through the Mac Grant program too!
"I can't think of a better way to celebrate summer than by giving away smoothies and helping teachers in the classroom," said Lewis.
