Seth Swary, son of Kein and Wendy Swary of Pandora, is the recipient of the Alvin F. and Mary C. Basinger Scholarship for 2010. The annual $500 scholarship goes to a Pandora-Gilboa High School senior.

The recipient is selected on the basis of scholarship merit, leadership, school and community service and the promise of success in a chosen field.

The daughters of Alvin and Mary Basinger established the scholarship in their parents memory in an effort to recognized outstanding high school students and to provide financial aid for them in obtaining a college education.

Swary will attend Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, this fall.
