Archbold potter to display work at in Sauder
An exhibition of ceramics by Mark Nafziger, resident potter at Archbold's Sauder Museum and Craft Village, will open Sunday, Aug. 29, in the Grace Albrecht Gallery of Bluffton University's Sauder Visual Arts Center.
The exhibit, which continues through Sept. 27, is free and open to the public, as are a reception with Nafziger from 4-6 p.m. Sept. 17 and a studio demonstration by the artist from 2-4 p.m. Sept. 27. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
Nafziger, an Archbold native who has been at Sauder Village since 1981, is proprietor of Brush Creek Pottery there. His display at Bluffton will feature functional stoneware along with recent work with wood-fired, salt-glazed ceramics.
