Second-floor structural framing underway at hospital
Several projects are underway this week in the Bluffton Hospital construction project.
Workers are beginning to erect the structural framing of the two-story addition, which includes the new emergency department and other services.
Workers are also finishing the roof for the new operating room area located on the corner of Garau Street and Harmon Road, as well as laying format for new walls and hanging HVAC duct work in this area.
Work is also continuing on two emergency exit ramps from the existing building. One is on the alley (west side), which should have concrete poured this week. The will replace the steps near the Special Care Unit exit from first floor. Both ramps will be completed by mid-September.
