Bluffton Town Hall Concert Series: Sacred dances and chants of Tibet
The Gaden Shartse Monks will perform in the Town Hall Concert in September. The performance is at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 7. "Come join us for an evening of sacred sounds from the roof of the world," said Wendy Chappell-Dick of the village cultural affairs committee.

Long hidden behind the Himalayan mountain ranges, the ancient Tibetan culture remained virtually untouched by the outside world for thousands of years.
Now you will have an opportunity to experience the rare sounds and dramatic imagery of Tibetan sacred dances, music and chants. Ancient Tibetan multi-phonic chanting is a rare and unique experience created by monks singing a chord containing two or three tones simultaneously.
This performance features monks from the renowned Gaden Shartse Monastery. The performance include an introduction and question and answer period.
"This gives the audience has an opportunity to engage the monks and learn more about Tibetan culture. The Gaden Shartse vision on the tour is not simply to perform, but also to interact and engage with the communities they encounter," said Chappell-Dick.
The concert is open to the public by donation.
