Sept. 11 Gumbyfest features Jesse Henry band
Are you ready for Gumbyfest 2010? The 'fest, now in its second year, includes a hog roast and music by former Bluffton resident Jesse Henry, who is bringing his band The Spikedrivers. (www.thespikedrivers.com)
It all takes place at the Crawfis residence, 8795 Phillips Road, Bluffton, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11.
According to Jami Crawfis, admission is $10, which includes a meal. The event is open to persons 21 and older. Part of the activities includes a homemade barbecue sauce contest. Persons wanting more information may call 419-236-2944.
Events during the 'fest follows:
6:30 p.m. - Food serving begins
6:45-7:15 p.m. - Rev. Hokum's Blue Revelers opening show (Matt Keeler is the band's lead singer)
7:15 p.m. - Theme song by the Shannon and Crawfis families
7:30-8:30 p.m. - The Spikedrivers
8:30-9 p.m. - Intermission - games and 50/50 raffle
9-10 p.m. - The Spikedrivers
