BFR Halloween party Oct. 24; Kid's fun night Nov. 5
Families are invited to BFR for an afternoon of Halloween activities on Sunday, Oct. 24, from 2-4 p.m.The event is free and open to the public.
Activities will include crafts and game stations including "pin the arm on the skeleton," color sheets, cornhole/bean bag toss, pumpkin match game, and obstacle course.
Also to be included is a costume contest for children (age categories of 1-3 years, 4-6 years, 7-10 years, and 11 and older) and family-theme group. The costume judging will begin at 3:30 p.m. with the participants parading in age order. The BFR Halloween Party is planned as a non-scary, safe, fall activity for families.
Kid's Fun Night Nov. 5
Area youth in grades Kindergarten through grade 5 are welcome to register for the Fall Kids Night at BFR. Activities will run from 7-10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5.
Kid's Fun Night includes supervised activities held at the BFR sports and fitness facility. The fall event includes an outdoor, team scavenger hunt as well as soccer, basketball, football, dodgeball and other informal games.
Contests for hula hoop, football throw, basketball free throws, and soccer shooting will also be included. Pizza, drinks, and snacks are included as a late night snack. Cost for each participant is $20 ($10 BFR members).
Kid's Fun Night is open to 75 youth and tends to fill up quickly; early registration is encouraged. Final registration deadline will be Monday Nov. 1.
