Kathryn Luginbill, 1919-2010
Kathryn Elizabeth (Suter) Luginbill, 91, died at the Hilty Home, Pandora, Ohio, on Oct. 19, 2010. She was born to Harvey and Sylvia (Lugibihl) Suter on April 8, 1919, in Bluffton.
Kathryn was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Suter, and has two living sisters, Wanda Pannabecker of Bluffton, and LaDonna (Lloyd) Shook of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
On Dec. 18, 1943, she married Paul Luginbill who preceded her in death in 1991.
She served others as a registered nurse at Bluffton Hospital and Pandora Family Physicians after graduating from Lima Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1940. She also served as an active member of Grace Mennonite Church, volunteered at The Et Cetera Shop and various other faith-based organizations.
Her children are Shirley (Paul) King, Strongsville; Carolyn (Rodney) McDaniel, Pandora; Paulette (Doug) Reichenbach, Freeport, Mich.; Joyce (Tom) Schumacher, Pandora; Dean (Mary) Luginbill, Pandora; Tim (Cindy) Luginbill, Pandora; Gary (Becky) Luginbill, Pandora; Doug (Paula) Luginbill, Bluffton.
She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Helen Suter of Bluffton.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25 at Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora. The Rev. Dennis Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora.
Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Mennonite Church or the Et Cetera Shop.
