Imajean I. Mathewson 1932-2010
Imajean I. Mathewson, 78 of Bluffton died at 6:40 p.m. Nov. 11, 2010, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born July 8, 1932 in Putnam County, Ohio to Albert and Loretta (Okuley) Klass.
On June 30, 1951, she married Larry Mathewson and he survives.
She was currently working for the Bluffton schools where over the years she had held numerous positions.
She had previously worked at Triplett Corp., Bluffton, and Whirlpool Corp., Findlay. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton, where she was active in the church. She was a member of the Farm Bureau.
She was a 1950 graduate of Bluffton High School.
Survivors include four sons Dana (Christine) Mathewson of Whitehouse, Ohio, David Mathewson of Powell, Ohio, Darryl (Brenda) Mathewson of Defiance, Ohio, Don Mathewson of Swanton, Ohio; two daughters Debra Witherell of Sylvania, Ohio, Diana (Michael W.) Kuhar of Whitehouse, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and a sister Shirleen Wiford of Sidney, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Donald and William Klass and a son-in-law Martin Witherell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 16, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton. Rev. Tim Ferris will officiate. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 p.m. 6-8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton where a scripture service will be held Monday at 8 p.m.
