Library wreath workshop a great success
On Thursday, Nov. 18, the Friends of the Bluffton Public Library sponsored a Make and Take Holiday Wreath Workshop at the Library. The workshop was led by Nancy Kronberg, Volunteer Coordinator for the Ohio State University Extension Master Gardener Volunteers in Hancock County. Other Master Gardeners helping were Marilynn Beltz, Pam McCloud, Jennette Miller and Cindi Chasse.
Participants were given a wreath frame, different types of evergreens, holly, pine cones, other live plant embellishments and a decorative ribbon provided by the Master Gardeners. They were given instructions on putting their wreaths together and how to add different embellishments to give it color and a personal touch.
Because the Master Gardeners are a part of the Extension Program, they are an education-based organization. In all their activities there is an educational component.
"The Friends of the Library want to thank the members of the OSU Extension Master Gardener Volunteers of Hancock County for coming to Bluffton and presenting this workshop," Friends President Jan Potter said. "We hope to make this an annual event."
