15 minutes with Whitney Zumberger
Where are you from, what's your major at Bluffton and what year are you?
My hometown is Botkins. I graduated Anna High School in 2009 and am a junior at Bluffton University. I am majoring in communications with a minor in pre-law.
Who was the first person from Bluffton who you met?
The first person I met was Melissa Mesojec who was the Resident Advisor for Ramseyer Hall.
How many colleges did you visit in high school?
I visited around seven colleges; I picked Bluffton University because it was small, had a pretty campus and close to medical treatment facilities.
Where is your favorite restaurant in Bluffton? What is your favorite thing to order?
My favorite restaurant is Jeanne's Kitchen. I really like the chicken salad croissant.
What's the most expensive book you've had to purchase while a university student?
Ironically, my most expensive book was the First Year Seminar book during my first semester at Bluffton University.
How much time a day do you spend on the internet?
I spend a lot of time on the internet but that is because I listen to music all the time.
When you were in pre-school, what was your favorite television program?
Definitely Barney, I watched it all the time.
Considering rapid advances in technology, how do you think people will communicate with others in 25 years from now?
I think they will come up with a way to insert cell-phone like devices in people's heads so instead of texting or talking you just have to think.
How many speeding tickets have you racked up?
I haven't really racked many up, I have only received one.
Who is the most famous person you ever met?
I am a Republican so I have met Sarah Palin. I also met Ted Strickland.
