Rex W. "Bill" Ferrall 1925-2010
Rex W. "Bill" Ferrall, 85 of Bluffton died Dec. 3, 2010 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. He was born Oct. 19, 1925, in Benton Ridge, Ohio to August H. and Lulu Bell (Swihart) Ferrall. On Aug. 28, 1949 he married Nettie Basinger and she survives.
Mr. Ferral had been a salesman at A to Z Meats, Bluffton, Lima Packing Company and Wonderbread. He was also a farmer. He was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bluffton, and a member of the American Legion Post # 382, Bluffton.
He graduated from Mt. Cory High School. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include three daughters Vickie (Richard) Little of Clarkston, Mich., Nancy Ferrall of South Bend, Ind., Cathy (Bill Stewart) Ferrall of Findlay; a son, Michael (Sheryl) Ferrall of Chickaloon, Alaska; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Ferrall; two sisters, Lodene Robinson and Evelyn Dabler; and two brothers Gerald Eugene Ferrall and Richard Ferrall.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday Dec. 6, 2010 at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bluffton. Rev. Eric Rummel officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton.
