The work continues. Here's an update on projects underway this week at the Bluffton Hospital.

New Emergency Department

• Installation of roof is nearing completion
• Fireproofing is underway
• Temporary windows are being installed to enclose the area for winter work
• The air handlers for the Emergency Department and Surgery areas are being prepared for use
• Brick installation continues as exterior walls are constructed
• Steel for the new Emergency Department canopy is being installed.
• Work continues on the metal stud, exterior eyebrow and dens glass installation

Lot behind the hospital

• Work is underway on the storm sewer and water line in new Emergency Department parking lot
• Site work for Emergency Department parking lot is underway
• Steel is being erected on rear ramp

New Surgery Area
Ductwork and electrical conduits continue to be installed
Metal stud and drywall work continues for interior walls

For your safety and that of our contractors, all associates and visitors are to refrain from entering the work site at any time without prior authorization and without appropriate safety equipment. Tours of the construction site can be scheduled and must be conducted by a construction team escort. Once approved, certain areas may remain off limits unless accompanied by appropriate designee.
