Jean Ann Lautzenheiser 1965-2011
Jean Ann Therese Lautzenheiser, 45, of Round Rock, Texas, died on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011. She was born on April 22, 1965, in Terre Haute, Indiana.
She was selected as Teacher of the Year in 2009 at Backland Prairie Elementary School in Round Rock.
She sang in several local choirs, including the Round Rock Community Choir and the choirs of First United Methodist Church in Round Rock. She also performed in Carnegie Hall and the National Cathedral.
she is survived by her husband, Richard Allen Lautzenheiser, and daughters Shelby and Victoria Lautzenheiser; mother: Lee Ann (Rowe) Savage and husband, Lou, of Bluffton.
Also surviving are her father, Karl Newcomb and wife, Sharon; brothers: Rev. Howard "Doc" Newcomb; Jamie Newcomb, Tim Newcomb, Tom Hooper; sisters: Amanda Rae Lucas, Sarah Bricker, Joy Savage and Julie Loehr.
Visitation hours will be on Thursday, Jan. 27 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 28, from 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Beck Funeral Home, Pflugerville, Texas.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Round Rock, Texas.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Texas Methodist Foundation for the benefit of Jean Ann's Song Fund, care of First United Methodist Church, Round Rock, 1004 N. Mays, Round Rock Texas 78664.
