Bluffton senior presents piano, conducting recital
Brandon Fullenkamp, a pianist and conductor from Wapakoneta, will present his Bluffton University senior recital at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, in Yoder Recital Hall on the Bluffton campus. The recital is free and open to the public.
A piano student of Dr. Lucia Unrau, professor and chair of music at Bluffton, Fullenkamp will perform pieces by Beethoven, Brahms and James Brake, a Bluffton junior from Ohio City. Fullenkamp presented the world premiere of Brake's work, "Let Fear to Madness Evolve," during a recital by four Bluffton students in New York City's Steinway Hall last October.
Following the piano portion of the recital, Fullenkamp will conduct a 10-member instrumental ensemble of Bluffton students in his orchestration of Mozart's "Divertimento in Bb Major, K. 186." His conducting instructor is Dr. Jeffrey Boehm, professor of music.
The recital is presented in partial fulfillment of requirements for graduation with a major in music education at Bluffton.
