Transport For Christ annual banquet Feb. 25; reservation deadline Feb. 15
Transport for Christ (TFC) will host its annual banquet at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 25, at Marbeck Center, Bluffton University.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Meals are paid, but reservations are necessary by Feb. 15th. Contact Dave Lugibihl, 419-230-3294 or Nancy Spallinger, 419-296-0360 to make reservations, or to make a donation.
"Come and learn how the TFC ministry changes lives and reaches out to the truck driving community. After a time of food and fellowship, attendees will get to hear a TFC ministry update, testimonies from on-the-road truck drivers and music by Tom Kennerk," said Dave Lugibihl.
Tom Kennerk is a saxophone player with seven albums recorded. His playing ranges from Boots Randolph to Kenny G. He has also played with the Navy show band on tour.
"After a friend introduced him to gospel music, he's been hooked ever since and realizes his passion comes from God and is to be used for His glory. Tom also works as a mechanical contractor," said Lugibihl.
TFC is a world-wide ministry with the mission of leading truck drivers as well as the trucking community to Jesus Christ and helping them to grow in their faith.
Volunteers from area churches serve as chaplains to visit, encourage, and lead services to truckers that visit the chapel. Persons interested in additional information may visit the TFC website @ http://www.transportforchrist.org/privacy.cfm
Locally, the Second Chance Mobile Chapel resides on the grounds of Pilot Travel Center in Beaverdam, located on I-75 and 30N, Exit 13. The chapel was dedicated on Oct. 5, 2008.
