Friends of the Library invite you to become a member
Looking to make new Friends and urge others to renew their pledge, the Friends of the Bluffton Public Library are pounding the pavement during their annual membership drive.
To get the word out, the Friends will be posting flyers throughout the village and have stocked the library with brochures showing how they have helped the library in 2010.
Highlights of the year include raising $2,800 in fundraisers and donations, and pledging $1,350 to support young adult and children's services in 2011.
Membership grew from 13 to 56 members. In addition to fall and spring book sales, the Friends also hosted a formal "Tea with Jane Austen," the second annual Community Garage Sale and provided volunteer assistance at events such as the holiday music series.
Becoming a Friend is easy. A donation of $5 or more makes you a Friend of the Bluffton Public Library. You can also volunteer or help find new ways to support the library.
Donations should be submitted at the library at 145 South Main St., Bluffton, OH 45817, and checks should be made payable to "Friends of the Bluffton Public Library."

The Friends motto: Good Libraries Need Good Friends.
