A pair of Bluffton University women's basketball players were recently lauded for their accomplishments on the floor this season. Senior Kim Miller (Delphos/St. John's) garnered her second consecutive first team All-Heartland Conference honor following a record-setting career with the Beavers. Also picking up post-season hardware for the Beavers was junior wing Brittany Stegmaier (Garfield/Trinity) who earned honorable mention All-HCAC for 2010-11.

Picking up her fourth All-Heartland Conference, Kim Miller was selected First Team All-HCAC for the second consecutive season. She was Honorable Mention as a sophomore after being named to the All-Freshman Team for 2007-08.

The senior standout dropped in a team-high 12.3 points per game while her 8.5 rebounds per game were fourth-best in the Heartland Conference. Miller finished second in the HCAC with 111 assists (4.4 APG) and 60 steals. She knocked down 106 free throws, third most in the conference, and her 82 assists in HCAC play was tops in the league. Miller was 101-of-225 from the field (44.9 percent) and she swatted away a team-high 25 shots.

Miller leaves the Beavers having made an indelible mark on the Bluffton women's basketball record book. She finished her career no. 1 all-time with 697 rebounds, 412 assists and 388 made free throws. The consummate team player, Miller is no. 2 on the career lists with 1,171 points (Tanya Rickenberg scored 1,241), 188 steals and 99 games started, two shy of Rickenberg's 101 career starts.

Her 59 blocks places Miller fourth in Bluffton's record book. She finished her career at Bluffton with a 77.1 free throw shooting percentage (388-of-503), good for fourth place all-time.

Stuffing the stat sheet was a common occurrence for Miller as she put together 13 career double-doubles and went over 20 points in a game seven times. She twice scored 29 points in a game. In Bluffton's final trip to Defiance, Miller established a new career-high with 15 boards.

Kim dished out 10 assists against Transylvania in 2008 and picked up nine steals in a win over Earlham this year. She blocked six Yellow Jacket shots in Bluffton's 2011 Founder's Hall win over Defiance.

Brittany Stegmaier was named honorable mention All-HCAC after a junior campaign that saw her put up 12.2 points per game on 97-of-272 shooting from the field. She led the team with 44 makes from distance and she converted 57-of-88 (64.8 percent) at the stripe. Stegmaier pulled down 4.3 rebounds per game, dished out 36 assists and came up with 18 thefts for the Beavers.

She went over 500 career points as her 537 markers place Stegmaier at no. 41 all-time with one season to play. For her career, Stegmaier has drilled 87 treys while hitting at a 32.5 percent clip.
