Betty Mumper 1920-2011
Betty Mae Mumper, 90, of Bluffton died at 5:15 a.m. March 3, 2011, at Richland Manor, Bluffton. She was born Oct. 5, 1920 in Hamler to Jess and Wealtha Pacey Bundy. On Oct. 1, 1936 she married Virgil F. Mumper and he preceded her in death on August 12, 1981.
Mrs. Mumper was a homemaker and had worked 13 years at Marimor. She was a member of Riley Creek Baptist Church, Bluffton. She was a member of the Bluffton Senior Citizens and its Golden Swingers Band and had been a member of the Hammond Organ Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Ann K. (Joe) Briggs of Lima; Mary J. (Harold) May of Lima, Linda M. (Frank) Balogh of Ft. Myers, Fla., eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by a son, David L. Mumper, four brothers, Hadsell, George, Harold and Bob Bundy, two sisters, Irma Bressler, Emma Miller and a grandson.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Riley Creek Baptist Church, Bluffton. Rev. David Lanquist will officiate. Burial will be in Beaverdam Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Creek Baptist Church. Online condolences may be expresses at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
