Lamoile E. "Mollie" Amstutz 1916-2011
Lamoile E. "Mollie" Amstutz, 94, of Bluffton died March 24, 2011, at her residence. She was born Aug. 6, 1916, in Defiance County to Donald and Violet Smith Salsbury. On September 10, 1939 she married Russell H. Amstutz and he preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1992.
Mrs. Amstutz was a homemaker and had worked at Triplett Corp. and Community Market both of Bluffton. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Bluffton.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Rettig of Arlington, a grandson, Rick (Phyllis) Rettig of Arlington, a great granddaughter, April (Aaron) Smith of Jenera, a great grandson, John Rettig of Arlington, a great great granddaughter, Emma Grace Smith, and two brothers, Robert (Mary Lou) Salsbury and Clarence (Nancy) Salsbury both of Dunkirk.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Norman Rettig, two brothers, DeWayne and Joseph Salsbury and three sisters, Anna Belle McCleese, Eileen Miller and Donna Bradley.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. Rev. John Foster will officiate. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery near Bluffton.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com
