Bluffton senior performs trumpet recital April 2
Jacob Litwiller, a trumpet player from Hopedale, Ill., will present his Bluffton University senior recital at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, in Yoder Recital Hall. The recital is free and open to the public; a reception will follow in the lobby.
Litwiller is a student of Dr. Jeffrey Boehm, a professor of music at Bluffton. Boehm will join Litwiller and 12 others-primarily current Bluffton students-in an instrumental ensemble that will perform Litwiller's "Quintet No. 2 in A," conducted by Brandon Fullenkamp, a Bluffton senior from Wapakoneta, Ohio.
Accompanied by Allison Ringold on piano, Litwiller will also present numbers by Henry Purcell, Joseph Haydn, Georges Enesco and Kent Kennan.
The recital is presented in partial fulfillment of requirements for graduation with a major in music education.
