Bluffton University's Camerata Singers to lead worship at Grace Mennonite April 10
The Camerata Singers of Bluffton University will participate in the 10:30 a.m. worship service at Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora, on April 10.
The select 24-member choral group recently returned from their spring-break tour in Arizona, Indiana, Illinois and Iowa. Its members represent a variety of academic disciplines across campus. The conductor, Dr. Mark J. Suderman, is professor of music and director of choral activities at Bluffton.
"From Prayer to Praise" is the concert theme this year. "Prayer creates space to connect more fully with our Creator, to quiet our hearts, to listen to God's voice and, thus, to have hope," Suderman explains.
"This hope then leads to the opportunity to offer our lives in praise to God." The choral selections come from a variety of textual and musical sources, including major works, spirituals, gospel music, hymn tunes and pieces from various historical periods.
Everyone is invited to attend this special worship service. The church is located at 502 East Main in Pandora. For more information, call the church at 419-384-3038.
