Rosemary Ann VanScoder 1926-2011
Rosemary Ann VanScoder, 84, of Pandora, died 7:12 p.m., April 21, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born June 15, 1926 in Lima to Maurice and Mary Josephine O'Connell Higgins who preceded her in death. On Sept. 26, 1959 she married Harold "Skeet" VanScoder and he survives. Mrs. VanScoder was a homemaker. She was a secretary at the Equity Dairy, Lima. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Columbus Grove.
She was a graduate of St. Rose High School, Lima.
Survivors also include a daughter, Noralu (Jerry) Kahle of Pandora, two grandchildren, Abigail and Michael Kahle of Pandora and a sister, Elizabeth "Beth" Gossard of Lima. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Clair Higgins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. Father Tom Oedy will officiate.
Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton.
There will be a parish scripture service at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon's International or Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com
