Bluffton Shuffleboard Club ready for 2011 season - and you are invited to join
The Bluffton Shuffleboard Club is ready for the 2011 season. The opening event is the Mildred and Clarence Brunn Doubles event planned Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 26-28, at the Bluffton courts. The courts at the Buckeye park.
The club, established in 1994, plays Mondays and Saturdays at 10 a.m. and Thursdays at 5 p.m. Persons from the community interested in learning to play shuffleboard are encouraged to join the club.
Club officers are Judy Crow, 3707 Groves Road, Lima, president; Morris Groman, 142 W. Kibler St., Bluffton, vice president; and Carol Bishop, 606 Kirk Dr., Findlay, secretary.
Several tournaments are planned in Bluffton this summer. Those events follow:
May 26-27-28 - Mildred and Clarence Brunn Doubles (any doubles open)
June 2-3-4 - North American Singles (open singles for men and women)
June 25 - Bluffton Club Draw Doubles, (any mixed doubles)
July 7-8-9 - Crowe Memorial Doubles (any doubles open)
July 30 - Bluffton Club Fun Tournament (any Bluffton club open doubles)
Aug. 11-12-13 - Bluffton doubles - (any doubles open)
Aug. 27 - Bluffton Club Sweetheart Doubles (any Bluffton club member)
Sept. 10 - Pandora-Bluffton Rivalry - (singles, members of Bluffton/Pandora clubs)
Sept. 19- Bluffton Singles (singles - year end meeting)
