Severe thunderstorm warning for 4-8 p.m. tonight
AEP weather warning summary: Western Ohio - Clusters of severe T-Storms likely. Damaging 4-8 p.m. today - Winds 60+ m.p.h.
Northern Ohio is in the path of severe weather later today, according to AEP. Strong upper-level winds, ample sunshine and very unstable conditions suggest clusters thunderstorms will erupt this afternoon across Indiana and Michigan.
These thunderstorms should rapidly become severe with damaging winds as they race quickly east across northern Ohio this evening. The strength of winds aloft indicates that damaging winds over 60 m.p.h. will be likely.
Another severe thunderstorm complex currently nearing St. Louis will have to be monitored - it could also affect portions of Ohio tonight. But confidence is too low at this stage to determine if and where that would occur.
